Anza-Borrego Desert — Reaching for Sky Silk Scarf

Sale price$148.00

The desert has something for you...  I was hiking toward an oasis in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Southern California when I stopped in the heat — nearly 100 degrees — and looked up. The cactus arms were reaching in every direction against a wide, cloudless sky, ancient and unbothered by the scorching air around them.

I raised my camera and shot straight up into them.

That photograph became this scarf

A reminder that what you're searching for is often already above you — if you pause long enough to see it.

FABRIC: 100% Mulberry Silk Satin, 16mm

FINISH: Hand-rolled & hand-sewn edges, double-sided print

PRINT: Double-sided, full color reproduction watercolor of original photography

SIZE: 35" x 35"

COLOR STORY:  A sun-washed palette of golden yellow, olive, and chartreuse captures the desert cactus in peak heat and light. Soft sky blues and ivory balance the composition above, while deep forest green anchors the piece around the border. Subtle tones of burnt orange and earth emerge where land meets plant life—echoing the natural gradient of the desert floor.

CARE: Dry clean preferred. Iron on silk setting or use steamer.

ORIGIN: Printed and finished in China from my original photography.
