A mosaic of turquoise in every shade of the Southwest sky.

I came across this pre-owned sterling silver ring and couldn't pass it up. Made by Navajo (Diné) silversmith Brandon Etsitty, it features a striking arrangement of individually cut turquoise stones in shades of sky blue, soft aqua, and earthy green, threaded with warm golden-brown matrix.

The distinctive cobblestone design creates a mosaic of color and texture, framed in sterling silver with subtle notched detailing. The stones resemble the blue and green variations found in prized Number 8 turquoise from Nevada.

I love this one paired with my Mammoth Hot Springs scarf. The subtle golds and rust tones in the turquoise matrix echo the warm orange and gold of the travertine terraces, so the two feel made for each other. Bold enough to make a statement on your hand, it also makes a beautiful scarf slide. Pull the corners of your silk scarf through it and let the turquoise become the centerpiece.
