Grand Prismatic Crossbody Bag
Yellowstone's most vivid spring, painted on fringe and set loose.
From above, Grand Prismatic Spring looks like an eye of color staring up at the sky: a deep blue heart, rings of turquoise and green, and fiery orange rays burning at the edges. I wanted to carry that.
I start with black leather and paint the spring, then hand cut the fringe, strand by strand. When you walk, the colors scatter. When you stand still, the spring comes back together. A row of antique copper rivets along the top adds a warm finishing touch that catches the light like the edges of the spring.
It's made to pair with my Grand Prismatic Mohair Poncho, but it brings that burst of Yellowstone color to anything you wear.
